I have a letter written by Gunder Opseth in 1962 to Norway where he askes for a birth certificate for himself. The letter found its way to Spydeberg where my grandfather was vicar. He tells of his grandfather proceding his parents to the US and changing his surname from Paulshaugen to Opseth. He also writes that he and his mother came to the US on the ship Oscar II in May 1909.
